Most smiles are triggered by another smile. The classic Hoptimist is the epitome of smiles, optimism and good humor. With its light and cheerful colors and its round and harmonious appearance, it spreads joy wherever it is. H 6.6 cm, D 5.8 cm
Firmly convinced of the power of a smile, Gustav Ehrenreich created the joyful Hoptimist movement in the late 1960s. The goal was to design a figurine that would constantly remind us of the importance of remaining positive and optimistic. Because although the 1960s are often referred to as “the happy 1960s,” this decade was marked by disturbing events. Therefore, the joy that Ehrenreich's design spread was welcome in a rather turbulent time. Bimble and Bumble are the very first Hoptimists created by the designer: A girl dressed in a dress with smiling eyes and an attentive boy with a stick on his head. Today, the cheerful Hoptimists are part of Danish design history and creating joy around the world. The figures are available in four different sizes and a wide selection of colors that spread optimism, good humor and joy. There is a Hoptimist for every occasion and every person.
