The Mana Made Story
Owner + Designer + Maker
Amanda ‘Mana’ Paulsen is the owner, designer, and maker behind Mana Made Jewelry. Combining her love for art, fashion, and all things vintage, Mana started designing beaded and stone jewelry in San Diego, CA nearly a decade ago. A native East End Long Islander, she brought her jewelry practice back to the east coast and acquired metal fabrication techniques by working under several jewelry artists at a metalworking studio in NYC. She currently works out of a community metal art studio in Brooklyn, incorporating new and evolving metalsmithing styles into her designs.
Jewelry
Mana Made Jewelry reflects and combines Mana's love of finding unique vintage beads, stones, and materials with metal techniques. Jewelry pieces are ever evolving to incorporate new materials and different fabrication practices.
From a lover of the sea and all things art + vintage + jewelry + fashion to a jewelry designer…Mana Made Jewelry is an amalgamation of the things that I love, which are emulated in each design. The jewelry I create incorporates materials I find doing the things that I enjoy – from sea stones that catch my eye while hanging out on the beach to unique one-of-a-kind beads collected during a vintage shopping adventure.
Locally Sourced Materials + Handmade (in Brooklyn & Hampton Bays, NY)
Each piece of jewelry is an original design and handmade from locally sourced materials in NY. Chains, stones, and beads from local vintage purveyors are mixed with new and modern materials to give jewelry designs a classic and one-of-a-kind look.
Bead & stone pieces are designed and produced in Mana's home studios based in Brooklyn and Hampton Bays. Metalwork is fabricated at a local metalsmithing studio in Brooklyn.
